Ghana coach Otto Addo has announced his squad for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Angola and Niger.
Notably, the squad does not include captain Andre Ayew, who is currently without a club and also missed the last selection.
Returning to the squad is Majeed Ashimeru, who had been sidelined due to injury, alongside Athletic Bilbao star Inaki Williams.
Thomas Partey will take on the role of captain, with experienced players like Jordan Ayew, who scored a hat-trick in his last appearance, supporting him.
Injuries have ruled out Ernest Nuamah and Forson Amankwah. While Amankwah's injury is not as serious, he has not been called up for this round of fixtures.
Black Stars are set to face Angola at home in Kumasi on September 5, 2024, before travelling to Niger for their second Group F match on September 9, 2024.
