I’m All Out For Bawumia In The Interest Of NPP – Dagomba Boy Breaks Silence

Contrary to speculations that a former Northern Regional New Patriotic Party(NPP) aspirant Alhaji Inusah Amadu alias ‘Dagomba Boy’ was bracing himself up to declare his support for Minister of Trade and Industry John Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten ahead of flagbearer contest of the party, he has broken his long silence.

The former Yendi Constituency Chairman of NPP has disclosed that he cannot turn his back on Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia if he chooses to run as flagbearer of the party when nominations are open in the future.

Speaking directly to the propaganda being fueled in the Northern Region against the supposed candidature of the Vice President, Dagomba Boy stated there is no way he would disappoint the man who has accorded him maximum respect.

According to him, the decision by the camp of Vice President to reach out to him when he holds no position in the party at the National, Regional and Constituency levels shows the kind of respect they have for him.

“Among the prospective NPP flagbearer aspirants, it is only the camp of the Vice President that has reached out to me for my support. I will gladly endorse his candidature if he chooses to officially run as flagbearer of the NPP. I will officially come out and do the needful because no one has approached me. I am making my stance clear because I am not a party executive and I have not been appointed to any party position. I have no way to disappoint Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia because it would amount to disliking the NPP”, he disclosed on Tamale-based NTV.

The NPP stalwart reminded his supporters of his calls for them to remain with the party and work towards achieving its overall goal reiterating his loss while seeking to be Regional Chairman is not the end of the road for them.

“In every endeavor, you have two options to succeed and to lose but that does not mean you are out of the game. You remain an integral part and can resurface someday. I told my supporters this when I organized a get-together after the Regional Polls”, he recounted.
