Professor Joseph Osafo has waded into discussions regarding SSNIT's rescission to sell four hotels to Rock City Hotel belonging to Minister of Agriculture, Bryan Acheampong.
SSNIT, assessing the state of their hotels, decided to sell 60% of its shares to Rock City but this was vehemently opposed by a section of the Ghanaian populace resulting in the institution's new decision to stop the sale.
Commenting on the issue during Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" show, Prof. Osafo raised concerns about why SSNIT, in the first place, decided to sell the hotels.
To him, when issues of this sort happen, though it may be lawful to take such a decision, it is prudent to let ethics lead the way.
"Ethics should prevail; discretion should prevail," he told host Kwami Sefa Kayi.
